Can we stress the importance of all uniform being clearly labelled, including coats and P.E. kits. Please ensure children are dressed in their P.E. kit for their lesson on Tuesday. Children do not have to bring in their uniform this day as they will be staying in their P.E kits all day.
Please can we remind Parents/Guardians about the importance of children attending school regularly and being on time every morning. Gates to the main playground open at 8.40 and children will come into the school at 8.45 ready to start their school day. Gates will be closed at 8.55 and children will then have to come to class through the office and will be marked as late.
The school day finishes at 3.10 and children should be picked up from the reception playground.
Reminder: Please return your Tapestry forms if you haven’t done so already, this is to ensure you can see all your child’s amazing work using the Tapestry app.
P.E.
Tuesday afternoon.
Please come dressed in your P.E. kit and pumps or trainers.
P.E. kit is plain black tracksuit bottoms, leggings or shorts and a plain white t-shirt. School jumpers or cardigans should still be worn on P.E. days.
Reading
Please make sure your child has their reading book and reading record in school every day as reading days do vary from week to week. It is suggested that children read everyday, this needs to be the book sent home weekly with your child. Please record any comments in the reading record.
Homework
Please can you share a book daily with your child. Your child will also be issued with a maths fluency card. Please can you help them to recall the doubling and halving facts on this card and to recognise their numbers. You may use the number sheet to discuss odds and evens, one more and one less, how many more to reach ten, or simply count forward and back from any given number on the card.
