Coming soon.......Safer Internet Day!!!
On 5th February we are having our Safer Internet Day in school and are planning fun, interesting and informative sessions for both the children and parents.
The children will be looking at ways in which they can stay safe, enjoy and learn using all the modern technologies.
For the parents, we are running a session in school at 2:30 on Tuesday 5th February talking about some of the issues. These issues will include: PEGI ratings on computer games including Fortnite and ideas surrounding reducing the time children spend on tablets and phones.
Two recent amazing developments on Apple iPads and iPhones are setting up family accounts and 'Screen Time'.
Setting up a family account controls the way that children can purchase apps and buy extra coins or credits in games.
Screen time is a way of controlling the amount of time children spend on their phones and tablets.
Part of the session would be showing parents how to apply these settings.
A letter will be sent home explaining more at the start of February.
