Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you all so much for your support over this year, it has been an amazing one with some real successes. We break up today for the summer holidays at 1:30 and return back to school on Tuesday 3rdSeptember.
School continues to start at 8:45 and finishes at 3:10.
Our attendance this year has improved from last year with 20 of our children being 100% attenders this year. Your children’s attendance makes such a huge difference to the way they work and settle in class. Can I please remind all families that in-term holiday will not be authorised.
Our school uniform stays the same next year:
Uniform for children is a yellow polo shirt and green sweatshirt /cardigan. This is to be worn with black/grey trousers or skirt. A green and white gingham dress can be worn when the weather is suitable. Black shoes or black trainers should be worn.
PE kit is a white t-shirt and black pants/leggings/shorts. Black pumps must be worn in Foundation/Key Stage 1. Pumps or trainers can be worn in Key Stage 2. Children can come to school in their PE kit on their PE day.
PE days next year will be on the following days:
Reception – Wednesday
Year 1 – Tuesday
Year 2 - Monday
Year 3 - Thursday
Year 4 – Thursday
Year 5 - Friday
Year 6 - Tuesday
We have some staffing changes next year in school. Miss Sharkey is leaving St. Thomas’ to work in a new school as the head of modern foreign languages. We all want to wish her the best of luck and thank her for all she has done for us while being at our school.
Mr Cockson is leaving us for a year to work at another Oldham school. We wish him all the best and say a big thank you for all his hard work.
Good luck to our Year 6 children who are leaving to their new secondary schools. They have been amazing role models in our school and we know they will carry this on in the years to come.
Have a lovely holiday, stay safe and see you all in September.
