As part of the Linking Project Miss McIntyre's Year 3 class went on a trip to the Castleshaw Centre in Delph. The weather was positively wintery and snow fell all day!
Despite the weather a great time was had by all! We enjoyed a walk up to the site of the Roman Fort in the hills above the Castleshaw Centre and learned from our guide Nick a lot about the Roman soldiers that lived there.
We also saw numerous tracks in the snow left by wildlife that we wouldnt normally see in urban Oldham!
Lunch was had back at the centre and then we made snowmen and snow angels outside on the large field at the front of the main building.
The journey home took some time because the snow had made driving tricky at best! We all got safely back to school and look forward to our next visit!
