Dear Parents and Carers,
What a wonderful term we have enjoyed so far and there is so much more to come. In the last few weeks, we had a jubilee lunch outside with dances from each year group and a whole load of assessments too!
Year 4 Multiplication Test
The Year 4 children are currently taking their statutory MCT (Multiplication Tables Check) where they will work in small groups to test their knowledge on their times tables. They have worked so hard and are now all times table super stars. Every child has improved so much over the year and now know more facts than they have even known, well done.
Sad News
A few months ago a member of our school staff sadly passed away. Mr Neale Done from the school kitchen, who has worked as part of our school family for over 8 years passed away very suddenly. It was a real shock for his family and staff, he was such a happy, smiling member of our staff and has left a huge gap.
Charity Fund Raiser
Thank you so much for the kind and generous donations you all made during the last non-uniform day. We raised money to donate to the chosen charity set up in the name of Mrs Saiqa Koser, our colleague who taught a huge number of our children and families. As a school we were able to give a donation of over £350. Thank you all so much.
Uniform Reminder
Can I please remind parents about correct uniform in school. On non-PE days, the children should be in green jumper, yellow polo shirt and black skirt/trousers. The girls can also wear the gingham summer dresses too.
For PE days, the uniform is a plain white t-shirt and black shorts/trousers.

Meet the teacher session
This year, as a school group, we decided we would like to hold informal meet the teacher sessions. This would give parents a change to meet their child’s new teacher and ask any questions they may have about the upcoming year. Our aim would be that we invite the new parents in for a cup of tea and a biscuit and get to know us.
Exciting building!
Some of you may have wondered what the building work and now shelter is by the side gate. We gained some funding to have a bike shelter so the children would have somewhere to lock their bikes up if they cycled to school. We have some exciting plans too around a bike maintenance session and a fun cycling afternoon too coming in the next few weeks.
