Online Learning Journeys

Your child's progress in school is recorded on an online learning journey (Tapestry) which you can access at home. Please make sure that you give a member of staff your email address so that you can activate your account.

Name labels in clothing
Please put your child's name in every item of clothing. Many children often have identical items of clothing and without names it is virtually impossible to get them back to their rightful owners.

Wellington boots

As part of the Nursery class your child will spend a large quantity of time outside regardless of the weather, therefore could you please ensure that they have a pair of wellington boots in school at all times. Please make sure your child's name is written inside them.

Spare Clothing
Please can we ask that you send in a bag of spare clothes into Nursery. This bag is to be brought into school each day. In this bag could we ask that you include all items of clothing; underwear, socks/ tights, skirts/joggers , tops and jumpers. Again please ensure that you label every item of clothing and the bag with your child's name.

Planning
Our Early Years curriculum is carefully planned to make sure that all children thrive and achieve. There are seven areas of learning and development that must be covered in Early Years settings. Three areas are particularly crucial for building their capacity to learn. These areas, the prime areas, are:

Personal, Social and emotional development

Communication and Language

Physical development

There are four specific areas that providers must also be taught to support children. These specific areas are:

Mathematics; Literacy; Expressive arts and design and Understanding the World.

We aim to support each child to identify their own sense of identity and self - worth, as well as focusing on each and every child’s individual needs and interests.
