Newsletter Thursday 4th March 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

A last update before we welcome you all back to school on Monday 8th March

Timings

Year 5 and 5 – 8:40 until 2:50

All other year groups will be 8:50 until 3:00

Please ensure you pick up and drop children off at these times so that we can try to keep as few adults as possible on the school premises.

Safety

We have updated our school risk assessment and have uploaded this to our website.  All adults entering the school premises will need a face covering, unless medically exempt.  Children will enter and leave by the same doors they did before the latest lockdown.

Nursery and Reception will enter through their normal doors.

COVID

The numbers of infections and hospitalizations has gone down both locally and nationally.  Now is the time to stay vigilant and keep following the rules.  We all hope that by the end of this school year we can return to what was normal and see our school running like it was before this pandemic.

If you or any of your family show symptoms, please follow the rules.  Isolate and book a COVID test immediately.  Please inform the main office of a test booked and any results.

If a child shows any symptoms in school they will move to our isolation room and parents/carers will be called to pick up from school.

Online learning

Thank you all so much for the hard work that has been done with your children on the home learning.  There have been some incredible pieces of work handed in and some amazing learning taking place.

The online learning will stop on Friday morning where the last pieces will be set and marked.  No more will be marked or set after 12:00 so the teachers can prepare ready to welcome the children back on Monday.

If a bubble is required to close due to a positive case, the class will switch to online learning and lessons will delivered remotely.  Devices will be available from the class teacher when the children are picked up.

Can all devices loaned from school please be returned on Monday morning.  These can be brought in with the children and given to the class teacher.

If there has been any damage to any of these devices, please inform the office.

Thank you all so much for your support and care through this lockdown.  We are really looking forward to seeing our school filled with smiling children all ready to learn.

See you Monday.
