LIBRARY
Please remember to bring your child's library book back to school on a Wednesday so that they can swap it for a new one. We visit the infant library every week.
ONLINE LEARNING JOURNEYS
Your child's progress in school is recorded on an online learning journey (Tapestry) which you can access at home through a smartphone App or computer. Please make sure that you have given Mrs Lishman or Mrs Lomas/Mrs Loader your email address so they can activate your account.
Name labels in clothing
Please put your child's name in every item of clothing. Many children often have identical items of clothing and without names it is virtually impossible to get them back to their rightful owners.
Outdoor classroom
As part of the Reception curriculum, your child can access our outdoor classroom throughout different times of the school day, regardless of the weather, therefore could you please ensure that they come to school with a waterproof coat.
Homework
Homework is given out half termly, please ensure your child brings back their completed homework by the last Monday of half term so it can be marked. All children who have completed their homework will receive a certificate :)
P.E.
P.E. is every Wednesday morning, please ensure your child brings their P.E kit (white top, black shorts/leggings and black pumps) that is clearly labelled to school.
Book Bag and Reading Book
Yellow book bags and reading books are to be brought to school every day so your child can be given any important letters and so they can read with their teachers at school. Please can you read with your child at home and write a comment in their reading record book.
Snack table
Children have access to the snack table as part of their continuous Provision, not only to support Health and Nutrition but they also learn how to make their own toast, wash their own pots and pour their own milk for their cereal. We ask parents/carers to contribute £2.50 every half term so we can buy cereals, crackers, humous, bread, fruit, yogurts for your child to eat.
Thank you for your continued support, the Reception Team :)
