Newsletter – Friday 29th April 2022

Our first week back after the Easter holiday has been such a busy one!  The children have come back working so hard and creating some amazing work that will be shared on this week’s good work assembly (please follow the link that will be sent later to see it all).

The next few weeks will be busy too.  Year 2 are on a trip to Alexandra Park on Wednesday, a farm is visiting our nursery and some year 4 children are taking part in a water polo competition.  There are a number of classes in school getting ready to start their statutory tests set by the government: Year 2 will start their SATs next week and Year 6’s SATs start on Monday 9th.

Holiday

Can I please ask if you are thinking of booking a family holiday or taking time out of school for any reason to come and speak to either Mr Shahid or Mr McGrath before you do.  School follows the rules set by the government and holidays taken may lead to a fine or potentially losing a school place.

Eid

Finally, if you celebrate Eid, have a lovely time and enjoy some quality time with your family and friends.  We are having Eid parties in school on Friday 13th May; the children can come in their own special clothes and we will have a wonderful time.

School will be closed on Monday and Tuesday next week (2nd May and 3rd May) and reopen to all children on Wednesday 4th May.
