Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been a challenging and upsetting start to the week for our whole school and wider community. The events over the weekend have affected us all in different ways and at different times. We are aware that some families have been directly affected and some affected in other ways we are, as yet, unaware.
If you have any concerns about your child in relation to this please speak to either the school office or their class teacher. We have a number of staff in school who can check in with them or offer a range of support mechanisms if needed.
If you personally need support, in any form, please speak to the school office. Oldham Council has provided us with some services who may be able to help.
Eid
Eid Mubarak from all the staff and governors from St.Thomas’ School, have a wonderful time celebrating. From speaking to staff and parents some families are celebrating Wednesday and some Thursday. School will be open both of those days for the children who are not celebrating.
Please remember that school is closed to all pupils on Friday for a staff training day.
