Academy Update

Dear Parents/Carers,

I wanted to take the chance to update you with a change that may be taking place in school.  The diocese has requested that all schools become an academy by 2030.  Our governing body have been in discussions with many of the local academy chains to find one that matches our school’s ethos and values.  We recently spoke with the CEO of the Crompton House Multi-Academy Trust and feel they would add real strength and value to our school while not taking away any of the things that make us who we are.  The initial decision has been made to look at joining this Trust, the next stage is to complete a series of meetings and checks to make sure it is the right decision for both us and them.

As a school we will see very little difference.  We will still be led, governed and run in exactly the same way with our staffing, uniform, policies and rules all staying the same.

A meeting will be held in the next few weeks where parents will have the chance to ask any questions they may have to Mr Karl Newell, the CEO of Crompton House MAT.  If you have any concerns before then please speak to either myself or Mrs Loader and we will happily help.

Kind regards

Paul McGrath
