Welcome to Year 1
We are thrilled to have the pleasure of teaching your children this academic year.
The staff working with Year 1 this year are:
Miss Sabah, Mr Gwynne, Miss Iqbal, Mrs Stuart, Miss Lennox, Miss Binks, Mrs Grattidge and Mrs Hall.
The two classes in Year 1 are:
1SS - Ladybirds - Miss Sabah
1JG - Butterflies - Mr Gwynne
P.E.:
Please come dressed in your P.E. kit and pumps or trainers.
P.E. kit is plain black tracksuit bottoms, leggings or shorts and a plain white t-shirt. School jumpers or cardigans should still be worn on P.E. days.
PE will be on Thursday and Friday.
Reading
Please make sure your child has their reading book and reading record in school every day as reading days do vary from week to week. It is suggested that children read everyday, this can be any book of choice. Please record any comments in the reading record.
Books will be changed on a Thursday.
Homework
This will be set on a Friday and expected to be returned the following Thursday. You may help your child and write comments in their homework books also.
