School Uniform Information

It is very important that all uniform items are clearly labelled, including coats and P.E. kits. On Tuesdays, children should come dressed in their P.E. kit, as they will remain in it for the whole day. No need to bring a change of clothes on this day.

Attendance & Punctuality

Regular attendance and punctuality are vital for your child’s learning. Gates to the main playground open at 8:40 am, and children enter school at 8:45 am ready to start the day. Gates close at 8:55 am; children arriving after this time will need to come through the office and will be marked late.

The school day ends at 3:10 pm, and children should be collected from the Reception playground.

P.E.

• Day: Tuesday afternoon
• Dress code: Children should come in their P.E. kit, including black pumps or trainers.
• Kit: Plain black tracksuit bottoms, leggings, or shorts, and a plain white t-shirt. School jumpers or cardigans should still be worn.

Reading

Please ensure your child brings their reading book and reading record to school every day, as reading days may vary. We encourage daily reading at home. Any comments about reading at home can be recorded in the reading record.

Homework

• Share a book with your child every day.
• Help your child practice their maths fluency card, focusing on doubling, halving, and number recognition.
• Use the number sheet to discuss concepts like odds and evens, one more/one less, counting forwards and backwards, or how many more to reach ten.
