The Wealth of Werneth
We are currently seeking HLF funding to help launch an exciting project based on the wealthy history of Oldham and in particular the Werneth area.
To show a need for the project we must carry out in depth research into the connected histories of the school, church and the mill owners and families of Werneth.
Working with Gallery Oldham, Oldham Local Studies and other groups we need to collate valuable research and to explore shared links of art and history.
The project will be an excellent way to enable communities to join together through live events and creative activities. Children and community members will have the opportunity to take part in local visits and workshops.
