Spanish Exchange Students from IES Manuel Gutierrez Aragón in Torrelavega (Cantabria, Spain) spent a week in Oldham from 27th to 3rd January. As part of the Exchange program involving Oldham Sixth Form College, we were very lucky to have the students visit our school as part of their two day work experience placement. The teachers and children really enjoyed learning about their home country through their wonderful class presentations. The students also assisted the class teachers by offering a range of Spanish tasters and songs!  smiley

Thank you to Gemma Curto, (Tutor for Spanish at OSFC) for the kind mention in her article and for her kind words.

"Thank you so much for having our Spanish students. They had a great time and it has been a truly useful and inspiring experience for them. They are very happy to have been in your school. Thank you for organising the placements."

Mrs Grant and Miss Wood went to visit the children in our link school in Santander, Spain!

Here at St Thomas' we enjoyed a Spanish themed day. Children and staff dressed up in traditional Spanish outfits and spent the day playing Spanish games and Spanish dancing.
