This term,  we started by looking at place value up to 1,000,000 that includes identifying the value of a digit, rounding to the nearest 10, 100, 1000, 10000 and 100000 and Roman Numerals up to M (1000).


We also be added and subtracted numbers that have more than 4 digits.


We have whizzed through place value and  addition and subtraction due to the children's hard work! We are now looking at multiplying 4 digit numbers by 2 digit numbers. 

We are visiting one area of wider maths each week. Our first area was angles. We looked at whether the angles were acute, obtuse or reflex angles as well as trying to use a protractor for the first time!

We have looked at reflection and translation. We have discovered that translation is a posh word for move!

Measure: We estimated and measured different lengths on the pitch and then measured our fantastic DT Primary Engineers cars!
