Our Artist in Residence
Each half term, children from different house teams will be working closely with our Artist in Residence.
This half term, the children will look at the work of artist Brian Clarke and generate design ideas for what will become an art installation created during Spring 2.
The children will:
- Explore a local artist's use of colour and shape by looking at and discussing his work.
- Choose, manipulate and cut a range of materials to reconstruct into design ideas.
- Work purposefully responding to colour, shape and various materials to create collaged and painted patterns and designs influenced by Artist Brain Clarke.
- Layer various media such as cellophane, tissue paper, card and fabrics to generate design ideas.
- Recognise and describe key features of their own and others’ work.
