Monday 1st October

Hello to you all,

Four weeks into term and already so many exciting things have happened.  We have a packed few weeks coming up and many more amazing things to share with the children.

On Wednesday we celebrate harvest in school.  This year is a little different as we have linked with a charity who help out poor children in Uganda.  Instead of the usual donations of tins and packets, this year we have asked for donations of pens, pencils, colouring pads, colouring pens to send.  The other thing we are going to send from school are pump bags for the children to have, if you would like to send a £1 donation, this will buy a bag to go straight to a child.

On Wednesday the Nursery children are being visited by Oldham library who are going to read them a story and tell them all about the library.

On Thursday it is National Poetry Day.  There will be activities and competitions for the children to take part in during the day.  It will be great fun!

Friday we have Parent Zone and Google taking assembly for the Key Stage 2 children all about being an 'Internet Legend'.  The are taking 2 hours to set up before so we are expecting it to be something quite special for the children.

School are sending letters out tonight about the vacancy of a parent governor.  Please read the letter and if you are interested in becoming a school parent governor come and speak to us.

Can we also thank Mr Hussain for his time and effort spent serving the school as parent governor over the last 2 years.
